This year the City of Wetumpka celebrated its 175th Birthday. To celebrate this milestome the City Administration selected the July 4th weekend to have a "big party" to celebrate. Here is a list of events planned for the weekend:

Friday, July 3 : Rockin' on the Coosa
This event starts out at 6:30 and goes on
until 11:pm. The Elmore County Courthouse Plaza will be the focal point. Commerce Street and Court Street will be blocked off. Bring your lawn chairs and goodies and enjoy the music of The Sweet Young'uns along with Ray Goss & Friends, Muse, and John Bull.
